Permit Information

Bringing Firearms into Serbia

All foreign citizens who are coming to the European Handgun Championship with the gun needs to know that when you arrive at the border, first you need to declare your firearm to the border police, provide the required documents (license on your name for keeping and carrying) and answer all questions truthfully. 

The border police officer may check to ensure that you have stored your firearm properly for transportation. They will review your paperwork and may verify that the firearm you have with you matches the one described in the documents. You will need to have our Invitation letter fill with your name on it. Then you will need to fill in a form for Permit for temporary importation of firearms and ammunition.

Firearms mast be transported unloaded and cased.

We will make announcement of your arrival to the Serbian border police, that‘s why your Regional Director need to fill in registration form accurately and precisely.

Tax for the Permit for temporary importation of firearms and ammunition is approx. 30 EUR.

Please be aware that you need to leave Serbia before or same day that you mentioned in the form for the Permit for temporary importation of firearms and ammunition.

 

Maximum number of bullets that you can bring in Serbia is 1000!

General entry requirements for Serbia:

 

1) Valid passport is necessary if you are bringing firearms with you in Serbia

 

2) Valid visa in the passport, if a Serbian visa is required for passport holders of the respective country.

3) If underage children are travelling with one of their parents, it is necessary to submit a relevant certified authorization by the other parent; or if the child is travelling with a third person such authorization is required from both parents or guardian;

4) Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia. Sufficient funds are considered to be 50 Euros per day of stay, proved by possession of the appropriate amount of cash, bank statement, traveller’s cheques, credit cards or a letter of guarantee

If you are planning to bring firearms owned by the Club you will need also letter of permission from the Club with the name of the person who will bring the guns and original license for the guns.
